The Correct Way To Carry Outdoor Backpacks

Load items. Heavy items should be placed at the top of the backpack, close to the side of the body, in order to distribute the weight and make the backpack easier. Sleeping bags and clothes that do not require changing can be placed at the bottom of the backpack to maintain a stable center of gravity. Items that need to be frequently accessed, such as rainproof assault jackets, maps, compasses, etc., should be placed in the side pocket of the backpack. It is best to place the camera and lens in the photography bag and at the top of the backpack for quick access.
Adjust the backpack system. First, loosen all the straps, then tighten them in the following order: waist belt (wrapped around the hip bone), shoulder belt, center of gravity adjustment belt, waist tightening belt, chest tightening belt. The shoulder strap should be tightened so that the padding is tightly against the shoulders, but it should not be too tight to prevent all weight from being transferred to the shoulders. The purpose of a chest strap is to prevent the backpack from slipping and relieve shoulder load.
Shoulder lifting technique. First, place the backpack at a certain height, let your shoulders enter the shoulder straps, then lean forward and stand up on your legs. If you are unable to lift the backpack directly from the ground, you can place it on one knee and use one hand to control the backpack, the other hand to grab the shoulder strap, and quickly rotate to insert one arm into the shoulder strap.
