How Custom Backpacks Are Made: The Complete Sampling Workflow

The business specialist provides a detailed sampling order to the pattern room based on the customer's requirements, and discusses technical issues related to sample development and production with the pattern maker and other relevant personnel in the pattern room. A complete sampling plan is then finalized according to the customer's requirements.

Based on the confirmed sampling plan, the pattern maker draws the layout draft and cuts the different parts into paper patterns using a cutting machine. Meanwhile, the material purchaser procures the corresponding materials in accordance with the sampling plan for subsequent sampling.

The cutting specialist cuts the main fabric, accessories, and other materials required for the backpack sample according to the paper patterns provided by the pattern maker, ensuring that all materials are cut accurately to the pattern requirements.

Once the materials are cut, the pattern maker assembles and sews the different components of the backpack sample according to the sampling plan to produce the finished sample.

After sewing is completed, the pattern maker cleans and packages the sample, then submits the finished packaged sample to the customer for confirmation.
